- Freely create Sewing Lines on Pattern outlines and Internal Lines.
- Select the Free Sewing tool from the 2D toolbar.
- Or, navigate to the Main Menu and select Sewing ▶ Free Sewing
- Four clicks are needed to create a pair of Free Sewing Lines.
- Freehand Sewing
- Navigate to the 2D window and hover over the Pattern outline or the Internal Line where the Sewing Line should be created. A blue point will follow along the mouse cursor.
- Click on the Pattern outline or the Internal Line to start the Sewing Line. Drag the mouse cursor to designate the direction. Then, click again to complete the first half of the Sewing Line.
- Create the second half of the Sewing Line as above. When click and dragging the mouse cursor after establishing the start point, a blue point will appear to guide the length of the first half of the Sewing Line. Click again to complete the second half of the Sewing Line.
- Create Sewing with Designated Value
- While click and dragging the mouse cursor after establishing the start point, right-click to access the create Sewing Line window.
- Type in the desired value and select OK.
- When the length of the Sewing Line is designated, the end point of the Sewing Line will be created automatically.
- The Directional Notch’s position alters depending on the movement of the mouse cursor.
- To reset the Directional Notch of the first half of the Sewing, you must cancel the action and restart.
- To cancel the first half of the Sewing Line, hit the Esc key or the Ctrl+Z keys on the keyboard.
- To reset the Directional Notch of the second half, cancel the action before creating the end point and recreate the Sewing Line.
- To cancel the second half of the Sewing Line, hit the Delete key or the Backspace key on the keyboard.
