Move/Rotate Joints in Symmetry (ver 5.1)
Objective
Avatar joints are organically linked allowing for easier modification of poses.
※ Note:
- Human IK created in other 3D software is not compatible with CLO.
- To import avatars created in other 3D software, the avatar must have the same bone structure and names.
- To refer to CLO avatars' bone structures and names, please download the files below.
Location
3D Window ▶ Avatar Display ▶ Show X-Ray Joints ▶ IK
Operation
- Follow the indicated guideline below:
3D Window ▶ Avatar Display ▶Show X-Ray Joints ▶ IK
→ All joints are now being displayed and the IK window appears in the top-right corner. - Select the options in the IK window as needed.
Name Description Show IK Joints
This option is activated by the default and the Avatar's joints move organically. However, when it is deactivated, the joints move individually. Full Body
When a single joint is modified, it affects all other joints which are organically linked to the single joint. Body Part
When a single joint is modified, only directly connected joints are modified. Constrain Joint Translation
Activate the option to prevent unwanted movement of the selected joint caused by other moving joints. However, for natural modification of the Avatar, the constrained joint may move slightly. Constrain Joint Rotation
Activate the option to prevent unwanted movement of the selected joint caused by other rotating joints. However, for natural modification of the Avatar, the constrained joint may rotate slightly.
- Click and drag the desired joint.
→ The Pose is now being modified. - Additionally, move or rotate the joint with the Gizmo tool which appears upon the selection.
→ The Pose is now being rotated or moved.
1. Change to Local Coordinate Gizmo and then click on a joint.
→ An icon appears at the right top corner of the Gizmo.
2. Use the Gizmo to rotate or move the selected joint after clicking the icon appears on the right top corner.
→ The selected joint and its symmetric joint move or rotate together.
→ The selected joint and its symmetric joint move or rotate together.
※ Note: You can symmetrically edit joints only when the avatar is vertically symmetric.
