Activate Wind Effect

Wind Property Setting

Objective

Adjust and apply wind effect to create fluttering effect on garment in the 3D window. 

Location

Main Menu ▶ Display ▶ Environment ▶ Show Wind Controller

3D Window ▶ Environment Display Icon ▶ Show Wind Controller (ver5.1 or later)

Operation

Activate Wind Effect

1. Follow the indicated guideline below:
   
   Main Menu ▶ Display ▶ Environment ▶ Show Wind Controller
   3D Window ▶ Environment Display Icon ▶ Show Wind Controller (ver5.1 or later)
   → Cone-shaped Wind Controller appears in the 3D window.
   
   
   
   
2. Click the Wind Controller.
   → Wind Controller properties appear in the Property Editor.
   
   
3. Wind ▶ Toggle on  (Check Box) at Activate.
   → It is now being activated   (Toggled On) and becomes in blue color.
   
    
   
   
4. Click  Simulation.
   → The Wind Effect is now being activated in the 3D window.
   
   

Wind Direction Setting

1. Follow the indicated guideline below:
   
   Main Menu ▶ Display ▶ Environment ▶ Show Wind Controller
   
   → Cone-shaped Wind Controller appears in the 3D window.
   
   
   
   
2. Click the Wind Controller.
   → Wind Controller Gizmo activates.
   
   
3. Use the Gizmo to set direction and location of the wind.
   
   
4. Click  Simulation.
   → The Wind Effect is now being activated as adjusted in the 3D window.
   
   

Wind Properties Setting

1. Follow the indicated guideline below:
   
   Main Menu ▶ Display ▶ Environment ▶ Show Wind Controller
   
   → Cone-shaped Wind Controller appears in the 3D window.
   
   
2. Click the Wind Controller.
   → Wind Controller properties appear in the Property Editor.
   
   
3. Adjust the default values at Property Editor according to the needs. 
   

   Name		Changes name of the wind according to the user preference.
   Wind	Activate	Sets the activation status of the wind.
   	Type	Sets the type of the wind.   Spherical:   The wind blows in spherical shape, in every direction starting from the Wind Controller.      Planar:   The wind blows only from the designated direction, regardless of the Wind Controller's location.
   	Strength	Sets the intensity of the wind. The higher the value, the stronger the wind.
   	Decay [0~100]	Sets the range of the wind. The wind draws an arc and blows weaker according to the set value of wind intensity. If the value is "0", it blows in a straight line endlessly.
   	Frequency (sec)	Sets the cycle of the wind. The wind repeatably blows weaker and stronger in interval of set value of seconds. If the value is "0", it blows regularly.
   	Turbulence [0~100]	Sets the turbulence of wind intensity. The higher the value, the more irregular the wind intensity.
