Objective

Extend (ver3.0.0) or  retract (ver5.1.0) the Pattern outline while maintaining its original shape.

Location

Right Click Pop-Up Menu ▶ Offset Pattern Outline

Operation

1. With the  Transform Pattern tool or the  Edit Pattern tool, select the entire or partial Pattern outline.
   
   
2. Follow the indicated guideline below:
   
   Right Click Pop-Up Menu ▶ Offset Pattern Outline
   
   → The Offset Pattern Outline Window appears.
   
   
3. Adjust following options as needed.
   
   

   Option		Description
   Direction (ver5.1.0)	Extend	Extend Pattern Outlines.
   	Retract	Retract Pattern Outlines. ※Note: Only Distance can be modified when Retract is selected.
   Distance		Set how much in distance the Pattern outline is extended.
   Number of Offsets		Set the number of offsets to be created.
   Total Distance		Total Distance = Distance x Number of Offsets
   Create Internal Line		Create Internal Lines at where the original Pattern outlines existed.
   Side Segment Type	Perpendicular	Extends the Pattern outline perpendicular to the selected Pattern outline.
   	Extend Side Segments (ver3.0.0)	Extends the Pattern outline while matching the angles of the segments on either side.
   	Mirror (ver5.0.0)	Extends the Pattern outline based on the corner angle created with the selected Pattern outline and its adjacent one.
   	Default Corner	Extends the Pattern outline all around the selected segment or Pattern.
   	Right Angled Corner	Extends the Pattern outline all around the selected segment or Pattern and converting corners to right angles.
   	Unfilled Corner	Extends the Pattern outline all around the selected segment or pattern, except for corners.

4. Click OK.
   → The Pattern outlines are offset according to the settings.
   → Curve points are optimized automatically. (ver 5.2)
