Import FBX

Export FBX

By Importing an FBX file, Geometry, Material, Joint, Camera, and Camera Animation information are also imported.

Import FBX

1. Main Menu ▶ File ▶ Import/Import (Add)  ▶ FBX
   → The Open File window appears.
     
2. Select the desired file and click OK.
   → The Import FBX window appears.
     

3. Select the settings and click OK.
   → The FBX file is imported based on the setting.

   Basic	Load Type	Open or import the FBX file.
   	Object Type	Import the FBX file as Avatar or Trim.
   	Scale	Select the unit or enter the specific value.
   Object	Camera	Toggles whether the Camera data or Camera Animation data is imported.
   	Animation	Toggles whether the Animation data is imported.
   	Cache  Animation (MC)	Toggles whether the Cache Animation data is imported.
   Axis Conversion Watch Video		Change the direction of each axis of the object.
   Option	Move Garment to Start Position	Jump to the position of the start frame of the motion where the garment was loaded and move it..

📝 Note: Among the avatar skinning types, Dual Quaternion and Eblend are not compatible with CLO.

Export FBX

1. Main Menu ▶ File ▶ Export  ▶ FBX
   → The Save File window appears.
    
2. Designate the file saving path and file name, and then click OK.
   → The Export OBJ window appears.
    

3. Select the settings as needed and click OK.
   → The file is exported as a FBX file based on the setting.

   Object	Select an Avatar	Select the avatar to be exported. The selected avatar is saved with its rigging data. You can exclude it as desired.
   	Single/Multiple	Exports selected objects as Single or Multiple Objects.
   	Unweld/ Weld	When exporting, the connected Vertex(Mesh's points) where seamlines are set in the pattern are combined into individual objects or a single point.
   	Weld selected Patterns in Workspace	Weld the selected patterns connected by sewing lines.
   	Thin / Thick	Sets whether to export geometry of the rendering thickness.
   	Unified UV Coordinates (PNG)	Exports the texture information of all garment patterns to fit within the UV coordinate values between 0 and 1.
   		Image Scale	Set image scales.
   		Fill Texture Seams	This Function expands the range of the texture based on the border of the texture.
   	Include Internal Shapes	The information of the Internal Line included in the garment is also exported.
   Option	Animation	When the FBX file is loaded, the animation information in the file is saved together.
   	Cache Animation (MC)	Save the recorded garment animation as cache data together.
   Basic	Scale	Enter a number or select the desired unit from "Unit of file to be imported" and adjust the scale of the object.
   	Animation	Entire Region	Save the recorded garment's animation entirely.
   		Play Region	Only the garment animation in the play area is saved.
   	File Type	Select whether to save as Binary / Ascii. The file is stored in binary and cannot be opened by the user. Ascii: The file is saved as text so the user can open and understand it.
   	Texture	Relative Texture Image File Path	Save only the texture name without the texture image path, so if the saved FBX file and the texture image used in the file are in the same path, the texture image is automatically loaded.
   		Absolute Texture Image File Path	Save the folder path where the texture image was located as the texture image path. If the path of the texture image is changed, the texture image cannot be loaded.
   		Embed Media (.zip)	Export as a zip file along with the texture files used.
   	Diffuse Color Combined on Texture	When a color is applied to the texture, it is saved as a combined color and texture. FBX files cannot contain all data, texture images and color values so select that option to export color information applied to textures as well.
   Animation	Entire Region	Exports the entire range where animation keys are set.
   	Play Region Only	Exports only the animation within the specified playback range.
   File	Save Colorways	Export the garment with colorways
