Hi, regarding GPU specs for windows it is written : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 and above ("Except Quadro series")
    >> does it mean that none of NVIDIA quadro would do?
I'm considering getting a work station that is built with and NVIDIA Quadro P600. Is it non compatible?

    thx for your answer.

    Hi @thatshere,

Please be noted that we cannot guarantee its performance as Quadro series is not officially supported. Thank you.

Hi @Erica, are quadro series still not officially supported?

    Hey,
I'm planning on buying NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB DDR5 Graphics card
Will this decrease my rendering time?

    0
  • Lea

    Hi Pranav,
Firstly, as you may know, NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti does meet our minimum specification but does not meet our recommended specification so it is a lack of specification to recommend!
Plus, may I ask which graphic card you are using now?
    Best, Lea.

  • Pranav

    Hi Lea,
I know it isn't the recommended graphic card but it's only graphic card which meets my budget.
Currently I am using the internal graphic card of my processor which "Intel HD Graphics"

  • Lea

    Hi Pranav ,
Totally understandable for your situation! However, our recommendation is still the same like I said above.
Rendering time will be improved if you change your graphic card from Intel HD Graphics to NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti :) but we could not guarantee that it will be a significant improvement. In addition, our latest version has gotten a bit heavier than before because of some features of render, so it is highly recommend using a graphic card which performs better.
    Best, Lea.

    Hi @jenipriya,
Would you be able to share your PC specification including a graphic card?
Sending us a text file referring to the manual below would be the best!
If you are using a Mac, please send me the screenshot of the specification :)

    1. Press the Windows + R keys on your keyboard simultaneously, and type "dxdiag" without the quotes.
    2. Press the Enter key or click 'OK' button.
    3. Choose 'Save All Informations..(S)' at the bottom of the window.
    4. Save it as text file.

    Hi @pinarer,
All three graphic cards you mentioned do meet our recommended specifications! If you want a high-end graphic card, please refer that GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and GeForce RTX 2080 are recently released.
    Best,
    Lea.

    Hi @pinarer,
    1. CPU: i9 is better than i7 and 4 cores are fine.
    2. GPU : Just in case, the graphic card I recommended is GeForce RTX 2080 Ti / GeForce RTX 2080, not a GTX 2080.
    3. GPU : GEFORCE RTX™ 2070 is a bit lower than GeForce RTX 2080 Ti / GeForce RTX 2080 but it is also fine :)

Finally my PC building issue is solved.. it was a very stressful 2 weeks:) I finally found a company who helped me with everything. If you live in USA and need a PC , call XIDAX PC, they are amazingly helpful with everything.. So this would be my recommendation after all the stressful days.. But now i can not wait to receive my PC and work on Clo3d:) very excited! :)

Hello! I am planning on buying a MacBook Pro 15" in a few days for Clo. Their specs don't quite match what yours are above. i.e:
    - 2.9GHz i9 that boosts up to 4.3 (you require 3.0 or higher). Is 2.9 enough?
-GPU: They have the following options. Which is the best?
Radeon Pro 560X with 4GB of GDDR5 memory
Radeon Pro Vega 16 with 4GB of HBM2 memory +$250
Radeon Pro Vega 20 with 4GB of HBM2 memory +$250

Thanks for your help in advance!

Hello again! Can i get away with this?
    2.6GHz 6‑core 8th‑generation Intel Core i7 processor, Turbo Boost up to 4.3GHz

    instead of

    2.9GHz 6‑core 8th‑generation Intel Core i9 processor, Turbo Boost up to 4.8GHz ?

@lea: can you help me with my questions above regarding the Mac Book Pro specs? I am scheduled for CLO training in a couple of weeks and want to be all set w/my laptop. Thanks!

  • Lea

    Oh @mcass13!!
    Sorry for my belated reply.
CPU; CPU does meet our recommended specification :)
GPU; Radeon Pro Vega 20&16 performs better than Radeon Pro 560x but Radeon Pro 560x is also not bad to use CLO.
Hope your CLO traning goes well and enjoy our software!
    Have a great day.
    Best, Lea.

    Hey,
I originally had MacOS High Sierra but I upgraded to MacOS Mojave. Is there any way I could make Clo work on my computer or will it be compatible with MacOS Mojave in the near future?
    Thank you for your help,
    Noemi

    Hi guys,
I soon will build a pc for using clo3d. Would you recommend a Nvidia RTX 2080 (8GB) over a Radeon 7 (16GB) though the amd card has more RAM?
    Thanks and regards
    Lukas

    Hi,
could you help me with my question above regarding radeon 7 vs. rtx 2080? I tougth I read somewhere that amd graphic cards are not recommended, but in the post from Lea (February 11, 2019 04:59) it is said, that radeon cards are ok. So now I'm not sure if the radeon with much bigger ram wouldn't be a better choice than the rtx 2080 or even rtx 2080 ti.
    Thanks for your help
    Lukas

Hi all, for a new investment I would like to have your opinion.
I need a laptop, the choice I'm thinking about is on new workstation with rtx 5000 card and i9 9th generation cpu(razer or msi), but incredibly a macbook pro with pro vega 20 4gb hbm2 and i9 8th generation costs less.
Which one has the best performance for use in clo? Or which ecosistem work better for 3d use?
    Thank you all

In the list of supported MacOS-Versions, the newset version MacOS 10.15 (Catalina) is not mentioned. Is this supported?

    0
  • CLO TechSupport

    @matalb and others,

The CLO software can be installed and run on the latest macOS Catalina. However, due to Apple's new macOS policy, some features of the CLO software may not work.
The macOS problem we've noticed so far is that video recording doesn't work with animation rendering.

    @sumedha
Your PC system should run well. Not sure what happened on your system side.
Please send us your dxdiag.txt file via https://www.clo3d.com/contact, we will take a look.
For this case, Tech Support form is preferred.
